I agree. The level of hysteria does not meet the reality of the moment. I have many smart, informed Jewish NYC friends who voted for Mamdani. If you are posting and fretting about Mamdani and not about Fuentes/Carlson/Kevin Roberts, you may very well be a victim of right-wing fear mongering.
The Nexus Project is deeply concerned by the divisive, hyperbolic and aggressive response that we are seeing from some corners of the Jewish community to the election of Zohran Mamdani as the next mayor of New York City.

I was visited in the night by a ghostly spectre, bound in chains, who spoke to me of the terrible fate that would await me if I didn't change my ways. I can't remember what it said exactly because I was confused about the chains. Like what function do the chains serve

Once again, Trump denigrates Jewish American voters.
➡️Remember when he tried to scapegoat & blame Jews for a possible election loss?
➡️Remember when he said Israel's survival was contingent on his win?
➡️Remember when he said Jewish Dems were "disloyal," "uninformed," and "hated Israel"?

I’m genuinely glad some GOP leaders are naming Tucker Carlson’s dangerous antisemitism.
But it’s only words unless they also grapple with the broader normalization of antisemitism — including replacement/invasion conspiracies and the appointment of extremists to key federal roles.

Hateful rhetoric and Nazi symbols must have no place in the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, or anywhere in our politics.
Under any and all circumstances, it must be unacceptable to glorify Nazis or Nazism. Period.

Not to make everything about Jewish summer camp but this reminds me of the time my unit head at camp told all the counselors we had to have an emergency staff meeting after the kids went to bed so we rushed through bedtime and ran out of the bunk really fast and when we got there it was six pizzas
This is going to end up being the most pointless and expensive "this meeting could have been an email" in history.
