The Trump admin just can’t quit Paul Ingrassia of “Nazi streak” fame. The far-right extremist was appointed to yet another role, at the GSA: jewishinsider.com/2025/11/paul...

U.S. Special Counsel nominee Paul Ingrassia says he has a “Nazi streak” and has promoted antisemitic & white nationalist extremism like the “Great Replacement.” This hate should have no place in our federal government.

Dean is among the very best public servants. He knows government better than anyone. He cares deeply about New York and puts the public good above politics. I saw this firsthand when I worked with him in City Hall — and we would be so lucky to have him back in this role.
New: Zohran Mamdani's expected to later this morning announce he plans to appoint Dean Fuleihan as his first deputy mayor, per sources.

Fuleihan served in the same role under Bill de Blasio.

I’m genuinely glad some GOP leaders are naming Tucker Carlson’s dangerous antisemitism.

But it’s only words unless they also grapple with the broader normalization of antisemitism — including replacement/invasion conspiracies and the appointment of extremists to key federal roles.

If you’re shocked by the Heritage Foundation defending Tucker Carlson — who’s done more to normalize antisemitism & white nationalism than almost anyone — you haven’t been paying attention. That same extremism is at the core of Project 2025, from mass deportations to gutting core democratic rights.
1. A watershed moment.

The President of the Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action, Kevin Roberts , has announced that the organization is standing by Tucker Carlson in the aftermath of Tucker’s interview with neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes.

Just blatant bigotry. It’s not hard to call out Mamdani’s positions without resorting to Islamophobia. And yet…
Eric Adams, endorsing Cuomo: "New York can't be Europe, folks ... Those Islamic extremisms that are burning churches in Nigeria, that are destroying communities in Germany, that have taken over the logical thinkings. And that's what I'm fighting for."

People aren’t outraged because of the “establishment.” We’re outraged because Platner had a Nazi tattoo.

Take clear responsibility and acknowledge the harm without all these caveats. But this isn’t it.
Years ago I got a skull and crossbones tattoo with my buddies in the Marines.

I was appalled to learn it closely resembled a Nazi symbol. I altered it yesterday, into something that isn't deeply offensive to my core beliefs.

Our CEO @amyspitalnick.bsky.social in the @nytimes.com today on the normalization of antisemitism and broader hate by political leaders — illustrated by the nominations and appointments of extremists like Paul Ingrassia to senior roles in the federal government.
October 22, 2025 at 3:12 PM
As I told the @nytimes.com, over the last decade there’s not only been a normalization of this antisemitic, neo-Nazi extremism by political leaders, but also a desensitization to it — so none of this should be surprising, even if it’s still shocking.
“.. the fact that the nomination got this far illustrates how much antisemitic and hateful rhetoric has been normalized, explained away or rewarded by Republicans in power.”
