This is especially infuriating if you've spent any time around Civil War battlefields, where historic markers routinely refer to the anti-American side in heroic terms. Here, along the Potomac, traitor Gen. Lee had "stunning victories" and visitors are invited to "follow in their footsteps."

But it's too late. Now that they have insisted that they CAN go masked and not ID themselves, people will have to obey the criminals. Exactly as everyone predicted 9 months ago.
New: The FBI is quietly urging ICE agents to properly ID themselves in the field.

In a bulletin to law enforcement last month, it warned of criminals posing as ICE to rob, rape, kidnap—a problem it says now demands national coordination to confront.

By me & @carolinehaskins.bsky.social:
FBI Warns of Criminals Posing as ICE, Urges Agents to ID Themselves
In a bulletin to law enforcement agencies, the FBI said criminal impersonators are exploiting ICE’s image and urged nationwide coordination to distinguish real operations from fakes.

People complimenting him for this, and it's deserved, but he might have seen the obvious fact: Cuomo would have lost anyway and they wouldn't have paid.
according to @jessyedwards.bsky.social of @hellgatenyc.com Curtis Sliwa just said on stage that he was offered $10 million to drop out of the race

What is like when people choose order over liberty:

If you are interested in the US military buildup around #Venezuela or Western Hemisphere affairs in general, you need to be reading Boz. He's been writing on the web and for clients for decades now and he just gets better. This one is great. $90 a year is a bargain for this.

1. There is no evidence that Venezuela produces fentanyl.
2. The UN drug office says it is not a cocaine-producing country.
3. Most illegal drugs come here in container ships, not small boats with outboard motors.
4. The admin has produced no evidence to justify these extra-judicial killings.

It's not unique to Twitter, obviously -- there are people posting on here taking the same tack as well -- but I think there's been a very, very noticeable de-sensitization to Nazi shit that's happened to leftists who've remained largely over there

I know journalists are the worst people at making predictions, but I wonder: If Congress remains out of session, could the president declare an economic state of emergency and impose a budget? Who would stop him?

Precisely. Racism is the gateway to Trump’s power grab.
It is impossible to imagine people allowing this to go on (or even participating in it within the government) if he was ordering the murder without any process of French citizens or Brits or Australians on boats no matter what they were alleged to be doing.
Trump: "I don't think we're necessarily going to ask for a declaration of war, I think we're just gonna kill people that are bringing drugs into our country. We're going to kill them. They're going to be, like dead."

Isn't the whole point of a primary to stress year the candidates and find out if they are the ones who can win? The system is working.

LANCELOT?
So, someone shared this with me. There are a series of pseudonymous essays from 2023 in the Claremont Institute that they think were authored by Russ Vought.

Any ideas how to verify this?

Aren't there laws? Can't someone get an injunction against this? It's weird to have everyone just watch in horror
They fucked up the demolition by not doing the proper due diligence and to cover that up, they are tearing it all down.

Still appalled at how paltry and terrible the NYT coverage of the protests were and how nobody there feels any responsibility to address the criticism. This was not something that caught them off guard. This was many levels of decisions.

This story is extraordinary even by 2025 standards. Marco Rubio, the nation's top diplomat, made a deal with Bukele and agreed to renege on informant agreements in a years-long DOJ investigation into MS-13, totally undercutting credibility of such agreements.

Rubio promised to betray U.S. informants to get Trump’s El Salvador prison deal
To secure U.S. access to President Nayib Bukele’s notorious CECOT prison, Rubio agreed to turn over several MS-13 leaders central to a long-running Justice Department investigation.

So the US had a huge case using high-level informants. Bukele wanted back 9 informants who could expose his govt's deals with that same gang to lower the level of violence, fueling his image as a crime-fighter. That Rubio made a deal was known. That he reneged on informants was not.

The US was investigating MS-13 in part because of the panic that Trump stirred up in his first term. But when it turns out that Bukele wanted to free some of its leaders, there are priorities!
