It's all kinds of disturbing how often I keep coming across people who have turned, "Jeffrey Epstein ran an elite pedophile ring," into, "Israel ran an elite pedophile ring." They're doing Protocols of the Elders of Zion antisemitism to deflect blame from whole lot of powerful people, but leftishly.

Like there is real, awful, international geopolitical corruption and collusion here but we can only fight the real thing if we don't listen to people whose entire modus operandi is to spew bs to confuse and distract. Their goal is to make it seem like there is no truth. Stick to verified sources.

Possibly the stupidest thing I've ever seen on the internet.

What do national boundaries have to do with this? And to the extent that they matter, when that country was impoverished, it was part of Belgium.

Of course I searched my own last name in the Epstein files to see if somehow some relative had gotten mixed up in that. Happily NO, but my namesake the German DJ Stephan Bodzin does appear quite a few times, though not apparently in any sort of compromising way

Had me scared for a sec

The US government's new fascination with protein cannot be separated from the animal killing industry's rebrand as the "protein" industry. There's protein in foods from from peanuts to pasta, but when a waiter asks if you would like some protein, it almost always means, "do you want a dead animal?"

Hi leftist public educator here who makes educational videos, the answer is that propagandists on the right are funded by billionaires and culture workers on the left are funded by $5 a month donations from already struggling working class people. Hope that helps, anything else is missing the point

I've been saying this since 9-11. Americans are desperate for a moral mission and all anyone ever tells us to do is go shopping
100%. I honestly believe political leaders ask too little of people. The thinking is you need an extraordinarily low bar - so ask people for money or to sign something. People want to be part of something and they're eager to do real meaningful work in defense of their community and their rights.
I have begun to think that Minnesota pushback to ICE was unique and a model because it gave people something to do. It wasn’t about just going out in streets for rallying purposes. People had a mission: videos, whistles, information and communication flow to communities. They had something to do.

Bingo. They are focused on reforming enforcement when the issue is that there should not be so much to enforce. The border is a disaster, not because too many people are coming, but because the rules are a Rube Goldberg mess. Actually worse because at least a Rube Goldberg machine works
again, this is a moment for an actual wholesale understanding of what emigrating to the U.S. entails and creating an actually reasonable system.

This is what Chile's Carabineros do at the end of every demonstration. They have special vehicles, called "skunks," that are designed to spew tear gas in all directions as they drive around. It's definitely a human/civil rights violation.
These motherfuckers need to be in jail. That’s flat out assault.
I've been sent video from the end of the ICE raid at the Zipps on 32nd and Shea.

It shows protesters -- on the sidewalk, impeding no one -- getting drive-by maced by an ICE agent from a truck as it rolls away down the road.

Hard to see how such tactics are justifiable.

El Centro is especially quiet, but it should surprise no one that, as a proportion of migrant apprehensions, Bovino's El Centro Sector (hot pink columns) has consistently measured way more use-of-force incidents than other U.S.-Mexico Border Patrol sectors.

Normally in this situation I recommend the poster read the poem, "First they came."
The US Holocaust Museum being more outraged by Tim Walz saying that, like Anne Frank, children today are in hiding from armed agents of the state, than they are about the fact that children are in hiding from armed agents of the state, is why Holocaust remembrance culture is in crisis.
