Someone really should get Elana to write about this stuff. They know music, they know queer culture, they know how to write. If I was doing something more collaborative, I'd definitely get them on board.
No one is gonna run anything I write about anyone from a 60s - 80s guitar rock band and their gender shit. Not even any stories about the members who are literally out as bisexual. And that’s really a shame. Folks should ask me to.
You’re missing out.

Anyway, those early Hickman issues did wonders exhibiting why these three work well together and balance each other out, a shame all this narrative potential was left to die on the vine by people less imaginative.

At the risk of being far too nuanced about a hot button topic, Magneto's politics on this issue are very complicated and do not map neatly onto contemporary debates.

That being said, if there is a group that supports universal disarmament and world peace via threat of volcano machine, let me know.

Finished my outline for Tyrion IX of ASOS. This is probably going to be a long essay because this is very rich material (the first three days of Tyrion's trial ending in Oberyn's offer), but I'm really looking forward to it.

The biggest failure of analysis here from folks that like to bash on the Fash Capes drum is that they don't realize that the actual superpower that lets Superman or Captain America win is their unshakable moral foundations. Everything else in their stories ends up secondary

Slight quibble: Bridgerton is not an example of race neutral casting, it's an example of race conscious casting. It posits an alternate history where Queen Charlotte was black and that she helped to raise a number of black families to the nobility, and those characters discuss race quite a bit.
Similar with why race neutral casting is ok in historically set stuff like BRIDGERTON or THE GREAT but not in the historically-set 12 YEARS A SLAVE. It varies a lot on the context and tone

Just had a thought that I'd love some insight from working journalists on: what kind of ethical line would Clark Kent have to draw when it comes to using his "super-hearing" or "x-ray vision" in investigative reporting? What would cross the line into unethical surveillance/hacking?

Exactly. Make Section 8 work like cash. It shouldn't be any of the landlord's business how their tenants pay their rent, as long as they pay what's set down in the lease.
