Not for nothing, but announcing that the US is taking over Gaza the same week you’re neutering the FBI’s entire counterterrorism program isn’t that smart from a security perspective.

50 Republican Senators just voted to confirm an unqualified drunk — whose own mother thinks he's a threat to women — to run the Pentagon. The GOP is broken. It’s only Day 4.

Not everyone can fight Trumpism and Trumpists directly. But remember this: kindness, decency, and fidelity to American values are defiance in the face of Trumpism.

So be kind, decent, and faithful, particularly to the many kinds of people despised and attacked by Trumpists. That’s revolutionary./1

RIP President Jimmy Carter. You didn't preach about what we should do; you simply lived it. Perhaps the greatest example of leadership by any president after leaving office.

Pediatric cancer research.

In his first big flex of power on Capitol Hill, Elon Musk shitposted a bunch of misinformation to kill a bipartisan spending bill that would have averted a government shutdown, threatened reps supporting it, and demanded Congress stop working until Trump is in office. Awesome stuff
Musk Kills Government Funding Deal, Demands Shutdown Until Trump Is Sworn In
Elon Musk went on a posting spree on X to block a congressional funding bill, saying the government should shut down until Trump becomes president.

This is one of Trump’s biggest lies.
The fact Welker wasn’t prepared to more forcefully fact check that is part of the problem with the way many in the media handle Trump.

Have the ICE document ready to go on screen to quote from it to show Trump is lying.

This is why Trump gets away with it.
Trump: 13,099 murderers released into our country over the last three years.

Welker: The thirteen thousand figure I think goes back around 40 years

Trump: No, it doesn’t. It’s within the three year period. It’s during the Biden term

Real talk re the Hunter pardon. Democrat’s adherence to norms is a Kobayashi Maru problem. 1) scrupulously adhere to norms, no one cares and GOP justifies their own norm breaking. 2) ignore norms, norms are degraded and the GOP justifies doing what they were going to do anyway. We’re f’d either way.

Outrage is no longer about issues; it's outrage for outrage’s sake. We've reached a point where anger has become a currency, feeding algorithms and dividing communities, all while the real problems go unaddressed.

You cannot argue with people who think this way. Offers up her abortion rights and those of her daughter to Trump on a platter, but maybe someone should explain to her that there hasn't been a draft in more than 50 years and no one is going to send her son anywhere.

For me, the thing that knocked the wind out of me with this election is that I dared to believe America would get it right THIS time, that America was ready for a Woman President.

It hurt having that blind faith in neighbors, friends, and strangers smacked out of me.

Dammit, America. 😞

When I think about Joe & Mika appeasing Trump so they can maintain their comfy lives, I think about Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss enduring years of harassment for simply doing their jobs.

So when Joe defends it by saying people need to live in the real world, he should respectfully go screw himself.
