Never forget, if you design a city for cars, it fails for everyone, including drivers.

If you design a multi-modal city that makes walking, biking & public transit attractive options, it works better for everyone, including drivers.

INCLUDING DRIVERS.

The “war on cars” has always been a lie.

Everyone's reaction to this list: How DARE they have snubbed [my favorite film] and rated [a film I don't like] so highly? What a joke!

As we all know, everyone has the same taste in movies and they can be rank-sorted unambiguously.
The movie listed at #1 is so incredibly misplaced that it calls into question the veracity of the entire list. It belongs on the list, yes, but SO MUCH further down. An absolute, credibility-wrecking flub. Boo, @variety.com! Boo!

I really don't understand why congressional Democrats aren't publicly compiling a list of impeachable offenses as they happen. As they accumulate it gets really hard to defend the president with a straight face.
NEW: The White House intervened in a DHS investigation.

The target? Sex offender Andrew Tate.

The WH person? Paul “Nazi Streak” Ingrassia.

Who was previously also Tate’s lawyer.

Excellent summary of what a confused old man said yesterday about nuclear weapons.
1/n - Trump says something about nuclear weapons tests...It’s hard to know what he means. As usual, he’s unclear, all over the map, and wrong.

1. The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country.

Wrong. Russia has more nuclear weapons than the United States.

Great thread on the messaging strategy of mainstream Democrats, where it comes from, why it doesn't resonate with voters, and how it has been tried and has consistently underperformed for the last decade.

Conclusion: it's political malpractice to continue this strategy in the year 2025.
I guess I should lay out some prior assumptions. It's 2025, and there are a few consultant-class habits that I simply have No Fucking Patience For any longer.

Angry at the film, A House of Dynamite, DOD claims its interceptors have been "100% successful." GMD advocates say past systems were faulty, but this system works.

Yet, DOD claimed in 2003 that its "effectiveness is in the 90% range." Wasn't true then; isn't true now. www.ucs.org/sites/defaul...

This makes me so mad. When an agency detains someone they take on a responsibility to meet their basic needs and ICE is cruelly, flagrantly failing to take that responsibility seriously. An inexcusable way to treat human beings.
Pregnant women detained by ICE report horrifying treatment: shackling, solitary confinement, no prenatal vitamins, inadequate food. ICE's own directives and regulations require the agency to avoid detention of pregnant people in the first place. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
Pregnant women describe miscarrying and bleeding out while in ICE custody, advocates say
The ACLU and other groups are pressing for ICE to identify and release all pregnant women in custody and to stop detaining anyone known to be pregnant, postpartum or nursing.

This is must-read, top-tier legal reporting from Anna Bower. The government tried everything it could to sneak these children out of the country against their will, and only the speed and agility of their attorneys and the federal judge assigned to their case averted that.
I wrote this story because the case of the Guatemalan children hasn’t received nearly as much media attention as it deserves.

I wanted to highlight the full extent of the government’s depraved conduct.

I hope you’ll read and share. Don’t look away.
