I have had death threats for my work on trans rights. I have been stalked. I have had people try and have me thrown out of my University. I am by no means alone, and lots of trans-inclusive academics have spoken publicly about the violence and harassment they face. But no mention of that here.

The UK has dropped massively in both ILGA and TGEU's rankings, which have been published today. This means a material decrease in rights.

Meta literally created a LGBTQ exception for calling someone mentally ill as an insult. You can't do it for any other group except LGBTQ people.
The image is from a "Transparency Center" document and lists guidelines regarding acceptable and prohibited content for insults. It mentions: 1. Insults about: Character, such as cowardice, dishonesty, criminality, and sexual promiscuity or immorality. Mental characteristics, including but not limited to accusations of stupidity, intellectual capacity, and mental illness, as well as unsupported comparisons among politically correct (PC) groups based on inherent intellectual traits. 2. Highlighted section: The document allows allegations of mental illness or abnormality when tied to gender or sexual orientation, referencing political and religious discourse about transgenderism and homosexuality. It also acknowledges the non-serious use of terms like "weird."

Just because Meta deleted that line about hateful speech causing offline violence doesn't mean it isn't true. And now the company has all but declared open season on immigrants, transgender people and whatever other targets that Trump and his allies find useful in their fascist project. "I can't tell you how much harm comes from non-illegal but harmful content," a longtime former trust and safety employee at the company told me. The classifiers that the company is now switching off meaningfully reduced the spread of hate movements on Meta's platforms, they said. "This is not the climate change debate, or pro-life vs. pro-choice. This is degrading, horrible content that leads to violence and that has the intent to harm other people."

🚨 Carmarthenshire Winter Pride cancelled after legal threats from GCs and the Free Speech Union.
IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT ON THE CANCELLATION OF CARMARTHENSHIRE WINTER PRIDE Carmarthenshire Winter Pride is an event that we have continuously stated is safe from hate, and is to promote the equality of all members of the LGBTQIA+ Community and not just LGBQIA+ members. However, we were contacted this morning by the Free Speech Union (FSU) threatening legal action against CETMA if we stopped a person with Gender Critical Beliefs from attending tomorrow’s Carmarthenshire Winter Pride Event. The reasons given to us are that we are discriminating against this person under the Equality Act 2010. In order to avoid legal action against us, we have been told that we have to provide: A written assurance that members of the general public, including the person in question will not be excluded from the event and from any future events on the basis of their legally held beliefs. We understand people have different viewpoints, some of which are protected under the Equalities Act, and this we respect. However, by allowing the person to enter, it would mean that we would be going against the wishes of our staff and volunteers who don’t feel comfortable with the person in question attending. There are also the performers, speakers and the general public who’s views also matter. Therefore, in order to avoid any legal action against CETMA, we (The Event Team) have sadly taken the very difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's event. CETMA DOES NOT have the funds to take part in any legal proceedings. Instead, we need to use our resources on supporting the community with food parcels, mental health support and other services rather than legal action. We understand that this will come as a disappointment to many people but feel that you will accept our decision and understand the reasons for it. We’d like to thank The John Burns Centre, Simon J’s Pizzeria, the organisations, speakers and performers for their understanding and support with this matter.

The report is a proven sham.
Copy of Caroline’s email sent to the Tavistock and Portman NHS foundation trust, asking if Alice Litman‘s data was sent to the DHSC for Prof Appleby to review. Reply from head of data at the Tavistock Portman NHS foundation trust, saying Alice‘s data was not included in the audit.

Tucked into the Cass Report, deep in the appendices, you'll find that they reviewed thousands of patient records and found no one who'd been harmed by puberty blockers and fewer than 10 detransitions.

BREAKING: I have seen confirmation that the indefinite puberty blocker ban for trans kids that was passed by the NI Executive yesterday will be UK-wide. It will come into effect on January 1 2025 when the temporary ban expires.

It is being laid before Parliament today.
