I have 2.5x the followers on here but get significantly more engagement on Threads. The vibe on Threads is not my favorite but Bluesky just feels like a place for bigger accounts to share stuff. I don't get the sense that I can really participate in or create any sort of community.

It took a few days to finish the skin transplant and mind transference but the White House team did a bang up job on their Trump-bot Cyborg. Credit where it's due. Looks and sounds exactly like him. Remarkable stuff.

Just want to say how much I appreciate @stinkydragonpod.bsky.social my kid loves D&D but it's really hard to find content appropriate for an 8 yo. Started listening to the pod because I saw Gum Gum Jumps out the Window on TikTok and my son loved it. Has played &D a few times now.

I think the people who are already screaming "Never Newsom" need a dose of reality and the people criticizing everyone's "purity tests" need to have some f_cking standards for their politicians.

Wealthy/famous people suffer from a sort of mental illness that makes them think the world really revolves around them. Like most of us when our worldview is challenged they get very reactionary toward anyone that doesn't affirm their ego-centric model of the solar system
A disconcerting number of high status people upended their worldviews because other people did not affirm that status in the way they thought appropriate.

Started watching Monty Python with my son and I noticed immediately how often they have skits with Nazis. It was a little jarring because we avoid the subject so much now. But I think part of the resurrection of Nazism is from a lack of media that mocks them, a lack of films with them as the enemy

When I got a bike fitting from a PT, she warned me that it would feel wrong for a while. I had conditioned my body to perform in a bad position, the muscles needed time to adapt to a proper one and it was going to be uncomfortable for a while.
I think that applies to a lot of things in life.
