I'm told that Kalgorrahan the Defiler, Sultan of Sulfur, Dark Prince of Pussy, is not a relatable character.
The demon conjuring and subsequent blood orgies I use to get my ideas are probably a distraction of the writing process I could do without.
And sadly I'm told the texts, reeking of brimstone and mysterious fluids, don't always resonate with the average reader anyway.
What's a bad writing habit you have that you'd like to kick? #WritingPrompt

I should make a version of ublock that replaces every ad with a playable copy of Doom
i don't click on new york post articles but i can't honestly say it's because of any principled stand. it's because it has so many ads that if you let it all load the page weight is around 2 gigs. you could load one article claiming that sidewalks are bad or you could run about 500 copies of doom

It’s been a month-plus and I’m still furloughed as the federal government’s shutdown continues. I don’t have much else to say about this, other than rumors...

I had a nice sazerac and started writing a new book. Novella? Novel? No idea!
I know, I haven't released the last one I wrote, or the one before that, or the other one, but--
Look, the world spirals into darkness, and I have to face it in the only way I know how.

Okay, that's all for me tonight. Remember what the Ewoks taught us: when you win, you're allowed to eat your enemies. It's cool with the Force, it's not a crime.

the "style over substance" argument is particularly funny to me given that Coppola's film makes a point of including a ton of little bits and references from the text that no other adaptation even bothered with. it's probably the richest interpretation of the novel out there
I love Bram Stoker's Dracula. I've seen people accuse it of being "style over substance," but the whole film is about love cascading over the ages like a river of blood. Why not be emotionally charged to the brim? Why not be luscious in form? Its the treatment this particular film deserves.

I don't like horror movies because, get this, there's enough real-life horror in the world already. I don't understand the purpose of fiction and I think it's basically real. I drove into a tunnel painted on a mountain wall, and then I backed up and did it again.
