@transittangents.bsky.social great episode. I don’t know that there’s a winner in the fare-free argument, it’s nuanced. I also don’t know if a Mayor Mamdani has the power to even make the buses fare-free in NYC.
But, I absolutely love that making buses better is a campaign topic in 2025.

Haven’t done an update on the Magestic Beauty of Carondelet Park Index (the MBCPI) in a while. Early today there was a Q3 MBCPI high reached of 108. Stellar appearance of dawn coming up over a misty Boathouse Lake on a coolish morning. These pictures don’t even do it justice.

Hey! I just finished a 44 post thread about listening to and then putting my ideas down about REMs complete discography (not counting compilations).
In anticipation of reading the new REM book, I’m going to listen to the entire catalog in order. I’ll post thoughts here as I go along. Some of the albums I know note-for-note, some I haven’t heard much since they were contemporary, and some (the post-Berry years) I’ve never heard through.

I love STL Metrolink and Metrobus. Use it many times every week. Sometimes, man, I get why people don’t. Moved THREE different times on a ride btw Lacledes Landing and Grand to get away from people smoking on the train. C’mon people.
