No, employers need to do their own training. It’s not educators’ job to make sure that school-leavers — or graduates — have the specific skills that each company needs. Employers need to invest in their workforce.

No, employers need to do their own training. It’s not educators’ job to make sure that school-leavers — or graduates — have the specific skills that each company needs. Employers need to invest in their workforce.

Two of my nephews are 4 and 6 and when I tell them about my job, I'm not entirely sure how much they retain. I was reading a comic to the 4 year old and pointed out a word balloon and said, "Those are whiskers. They go around certain sounds in comics, like sneezes. Whiskers are on cats and comics."
