As I’ve said before — the economy is astrology for men.
The economy is a paranormal entity that our greatest dimensional scholars (macroeconomists) understand only superficially. They have induced a variety of changes in it by manipulating arcane forces like "money supply" with some success. But it remains protean and unpredictable.

This is madness. Freezing offshore wind projects in progress will waste money, cost jobs, make electricity less reliable and more expensive, and will cause health harms given that fossil fuels will be used instead.

Interior pauses construction of all offshore wind projects, citing national security concerns
The halts of five projects is a major ramp up of the administration's hostility toward the industry in the United States.

When we say "no, everything hasn't been digitized," I need you to understand that we really mean is that virtually nothing has been digitized. This is because the realm of primary sources that historians use is incomprehensibly large.

If you know anyone in the military, please share this with them.
The Convicted FElon's $1776 bonus check for military is coming from their monthly housing allowance. So they will get less money for housing. Also the bonus check will be taxable income. They are getting screw.

Rick Steves is the hero we need
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Just pumping out joy and burns from the Key to Vector Sigma of his hyper-fixation (rage baiting his way to a house in a walkable city)
Article 22 is a jewelry company that repurposes Vietnam War shrapnel and battlefield debris. A portion of their profits goes to the Mine Advisory Group, which works to remove landmines still left in Laos (they've removed more than 300k mines!). I like the company's "Shard" necklace collection.
