"That’s the lesson for Democrats. Their donors should be making long-term investments in their own influencers, and Democratic politicians should be helping them grow their audiences by appearing on their platforms. Somehow, this is something Democrats never quite learn."

My god. Yes.

Pointing out the obvious: the objective of this effort is to degrade the capacity of USPS, and thereby degrade its performance, and thereby bolster arguments for privatization.

They want to kill public institutions, public goods, public spaces, the very notion of a public.

Huge amounts of crypto money was behind forcing Biden out of the race and then behind pushing Trump to victory over Harris. A Crypto Coup
After Trump embraced crypto, Coinbase gave millions to PACs backing pro-Trump candidates.

After Trump's win, they gave $1M to his inaugural and listed his meme coin.

Now, Trump's SEC has dropped a major lawsuit against Coinbase.

TRUMP LIED THROUGH HIS TEETH ABOUT THIS. He claimed to know nothing about Project 2025. Now he's implementing the full authoritarian project at full speed. He lied, and America is going to suffer as a result.

This is morally indefensible and strategically bankrupt. It’s just letting people die on purpose and it makes us weaker in every way.

There is nothing more obviously inevitable to me than everyone eventually concluding that, no, you can't work with the Trump admin., you can't "find areas of compromise," you can't treat this as normal politics, the only option is total, unremitting opposition. Everyone will get there eventually.

From a journalist friend: Just spreading the word. The CDC is purging data, so people should archive their favorite CDC datasets today, namely ones around race/ethnic diversity, LGBTQ, and reproductive health. Also health data involving climate. The youth risk behavior survey has already gone down.
