"Why forgo all these opportunities to get in front of huge audiences and defend feminism? Because to participate would be accepting the premise that our rights and humanity are up for debate. Once you concede that it’s reasonable to ask whether women’s rights are a good thing, you’ve already lost."

May anyone who chooses to work for ICE live out their days shunned by society, utterly unloved and alone. May they never know a night’s rest. May each and every one of their deaths be celebrated by the people who knew them.
This passage nearly broke me.

-education making kids stupider
-defense making us more vulnerable to attacks
-homeland security making us feel less secure than ever
-health and human services trying to spread illness

everything’s fine.

us government went from telling miners “learn to code” to telling coders “learn to mine” in less than ten years
This “genius” genuinely believes that healthcare budget analysts can simply be reassigned to making toasters.

He's not a "kid." He's an adult, with an important govt job.

The posts weren't "stupid." They were hatefully racist.

His life isn't "ruined." He lost a job.

Holding a govt employee accountable is not a "reward" for a journalist. The reporter doesn't get a cookie.

Make no mistake peeps, this only happens with authoritarian regimes.

President Trump nominated the most unqualified cabinet in American history.

His anti-DEI crusade is a smokescreen to turn Americans against each other while his billionaire backers take over the government and install their own political loyalists.

No, we can't agree to disagree. This isn't sports. This isn't us rooting for 2 different teams and the winner of the game has no impact on your life, my life or our kids' lives. You support someone who promises to hurt me and people I love. As Charlie Chaplin said, "I don't shake hands with Nazis."

Take this seriously.
Please.

Decades from now, historians will be writing about the massive wave of extreme misogyny that we're living through.

Such hatred of women.
Vote it all down.

Are these the same people trying to ban library books?
When a Trump rally T-shirt is more than just a shirt
Crass political merchandise is not new, but a vulgar T-shirt sold at Trump rallies seems to be setting a new low bar. What do people buying it think about the message it sends and about wearing it?

I also would really like to see legacy US media avoid re-electing Donald Trump for its own good - because it seems like too many of the people behind legacy US media don’t really grasp that they’re near the top of a Trump dictatorship hit list.
The right wing hits on journalism, good and bad, don't mean that we meekly have to accept bad journalism.
