The best thing about being unemployed is that I had a dream about a nonexistent right wing comedy event and I had the time to make the flyer exactly according to the specifications of the dream

The worst thing the federal government has done to unions in my lifetime happened last night. The second worst thing was three weeks ago.

The labor movement will either protect ourselves right now or be smashed. That's all there is to it.

The Massachusetts governor, the city, and the university needs to drop everything to locate and free this girl and make sure this doesn't happen again.

This is DEFCON-1. If they do this to someone who wrote an op-ed in a college newspaper, they will do this to anyone they don't like.
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

I remember feeling weird about a Pride I went to in 2017 where like JP Morgan and Hubspot had huge presences and floats while most grassroots queer orgs couldn’t even march in the parade because there was like a $5k fee

JD Vance sucks, obviously, but I gotta admit that I’ve used this same quote about democrats:

If the result of all your adherence to Norms and Bipartisanship is that you eat shit in an election against Donald Trump, maybe the Norms and Bipartisanship aren’t helping you!
This guy remains a fucking weirdo. Those may technically be the words of Cormac McCarthy, but they're uttered by a sociopathic killer (Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men) and are a statement of an unrepentant nihilistic world view. Great attitude for a possible future POTUS, right?

The actually important conversation to have right now is not "omg why aren't more union members voting Democrat," it is "We just had four years of an extremely pro-union president and yet union density continued to go down."

It's always amazing to hear the rhetoric about Lina Khans's "radical anti-business" FTC, and then look at the actual policies and they are like "companies shouldn't be able to drain you like a leech for the rest of your life because you joined a gym once."

so to be clear North Carolina repealed the mask law that was enacted to prevent the Klan from intimidating minorities and replaced it with one that has a carve-out FOR the Klan to intimidate minorities
There is an exemption to allow the KKK to wear hoods of course. While the excuse they use for this bill is targeting protesters it is obvious how this will have wider implications especially for disabled people of color or those with visual differences
