Just a human living in Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish territory. Cats, horses, the smell of the sea, the smell of the forest - heaven. She/her. Let's stop the fascists, the transphobes, the racists and bigots.

Please share and help if you’re able to. Don’t skip. This family needs your help. Donate today.
Why did the support stop? I’m still displaced in the south, living in a tent with no home or work. My little Nasser needs daily medicine, and my family has no food or warmth. Without your help, we’re slipping closer to danger every day. Please don’t turn away from us now.💔

To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."

Hegseth order on first Caribbean boat strike, officials say: Kill them all
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to kill all crew members in the Sept. 2 strike on a suspected drug boat. Navy SEALs fired a second missile.

A huge 89% majority of global people [56% even in the United States] want stronger action to fight the #ClimateCrisis, but mistakenly believe they’re in a minority.

People want action. Smart cities are taking action. Nations should support city action.

Reading the MOU as a whole, there's an impression of policy in a time warp. Environmental commitments are fuzzy and down the road; Indigenous engagement amounts to financial inducements to go along with the state. It's as if nothing has been learned the last 15 years. www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/back...

US Citizenship and Immigration Services is indefinitely halting all immigration requests involving Afghan refugees.

They are pretending that they are doing this in response to today's shooting in DC—but in fact, they ordered this *before* the shooting.

They create crises, then capitalize on them.
The folks at @afghanevac.bsky.social have in hand a new USCIS directive which largely targets Afghan refugees who fled the Taliban in the wake of the U.S. withdrawal in 2021.

In case you needed a reminder that the most loathsome people in the world work for DHS.

Because these stories just never stop and the bad men just keep appearing.

And men keep saying “but •I• am not like that.” Yeah, well, your buddies are and it’s a problem.
