There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. Dobhar-chū.

Fine, maybe suburban members of the Met Council don't need to ride transit all the time - but can't they just try it out? 8/17 never rode, 2 others rode only once - and only 2 are regular riders. How can they possibly lead a system they know so little about?
Met Council members oversee Twin Cities transit, but rarely ride it
In the last year, just half of those appointed to the Metropolitan Council have taken advantage of the free Metro Transit rides that come with their job.

Council Meeting Monday December 8 at 6PM at Minnetonka City Hall!
Minnetonka is considering adding a protected bike lane on Cedar Lake Road, but the project engineers have recommended against it due to the $160k price tag.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

Strib basically admitting they don't report fairly on transit

(Reality: ridership is up, crime is down, budget is increasing commensurate to increased service, fare evasion has never been very high)

Without the filibuster, things that are popular with the majority of US voters could become law
Johnson: "If they had no filibuster, they would pack the SCOTUS. You'd go from 9 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack. You would make DC & Puerto Rico into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators & make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2A rights"

Ok, this is weird. All the restaurant staff here in Markinch are running around, super stressed, hyper focused, in the exact same way that I stress out. Like they're all going to have a stroke, but getting it done. I feel strangely seen and in place with this type of anxiety.

The most amazing thing I have discovered is that Edinburgh has music playing everywhere all the time throughout the day, whether it's bagpipe or solo female melody. It adds a very nice ambiance to the city.
