I received a beautiful compliment at work today. That my hair has grown into a messy shag, and looks like bed hair. This is EXACTLY what I hoped for. I usually resist appearance based compliments but I let this one through to the keeper.

I'm fascinated by the myth of hyperindividualism, appearing in the movies where One Important person makes a stirring speech and sways the tide of opinion and immediate action to inevitably succeed. Braveheart, Avatar, Independence Day.

This is real. I have been a sex worker for over 30 years now, and I have made more money in every passing decade. Especially if you stay in the same city for most of the time, you develop long term client relationships, and new people approaching you see that you’re a established person in the space
If you’re a sw in your 20s, please don’t let anyone tell you it gets worse as you get older. Everything (the clients, the money, your intuition) gets so much better the longer you do this. Sure the first year or so is very sink-or-swim, but once you have the experience, it gets infinitely better

Anyone else tryna hide their Halloween spending and slutty accessories crafty from their live in life partner? No, just me then. This has to be a sign, possibly of my witchy powers.

Happy(?) World Menopause Day to those who celebrate.
As it's World Menopause Day tomorrow, check out these resources for LGBTQIA+ people. So much of the menopause information out there is cisgendered-focused so it's great to find a place that acknowledges this and offers support to all people www.queermenopause.com/resources-1

There's no "standard" way to experience pain. I reckon a few other professions/ repetitive hobbyists (runners, weightlifters, knitters) might have some interesting findings. Is it the music or assigning meaning to the pain of repetition (practice/drills/experience).
“… the musicians' brains responded differently to pain. Their training seems to have given them a kind of buffer against the usual negative effects, both in how much pain they felt and in how their brain's motor areas reacted.”

I've been reading some fantasy smut. The kink based magic system has its own internal logic with some caveats. But I'll never forgive the license taken with HUMAN anatomy! Nothing breaks the spell quicker. How can a nose be in anyone's navel if I've got my gob all the way down to the base of a peen?

When i see ppl struggling to understand that the only consent that matters in kinky erotica is between you and your decision to look at it or not, i want to direct them to the definition of a scene in a BDSM context.

Think of erotica as a play scene an artist has created and is sharing.

Goodness me! Endogenous oxytocin is a powerful drug. Last night I confessed to a small, trustworthy group of near strangers that my kinks include meddling in people's lives, and that if kissing hadn't been invented, I would choose sniffing clothes as my foray into intimacy.
