Mind boggling and humiliating that CBS would permit this.
A government-sanctioned "truth arbiter" will soon arrive at CBS. Their role will be to ensure that journalists do not criticize this Administration or express views that conflict with its agenda.

This is a betrayal—not just of journalistic independence, but of the public trust. 🧵

This is absurd. Murkowski was the deciding vote. All the GOPers who voted to strip millions of their health coverage & reduce food assistance to millions of kids to give deficit-expanding tax cuts to the wealthy are each responsible for this. But...Murkowski is a little bit more responsible.
She voted for it, but she’s against it and hopes the House makes changes. The Republican Party.

This bill is a declaration of war on American families. It's the largest transfer of wealth in history from poor and middle-class Americans to the ultrawealthy, a wishlist made by the most awful people in the world.

Miami just canceled its November election & pushed it to 2026. No public vote, just canceled.

Mayor Suarez & Joe Carollo get to stick around an extra year.

This feels like a power grab. If one city can delay elections for “participation,” what’s to stop others from doing it to silence opposition?

@leahgreenberg.bsky.social read the full thread please.
This is how democracy dies.
Not with a bang, but with a clause buried in a bill.

Buried in the latest House bill is a quiet little clause that would make it nearly impossible for federal courts to enforce their own rulings.

Read that again.
