Typically clear explainer from Jenn here on why embryo selection using polygenic scores to produce kids with certain traits simply won’t work 👇 This has obvious relevance to the claims of eugenicists that it’s possible to engineer future human societies. It really isn’t.

Final vote. 50-50. VP breaks the tie.

One single GOP Senator could have stopped this abomination. Saved millions of parents from watching their child go hungry. Saved the lives destroyed when Medicaid disappears.

They will all live forever with the horror of this bill.

Dr Peter Marks, "Vaccines have been studied very extensively for being potentially associated with autism"

"That theory has been debunked"

"One study in Denmark, over 600,000 children. It shows that if anything, children had a lower rate of autism than unvaccinated children"

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

This is at least six kinds of stupid.

You’re assuming any significant number of birds HAVE immunity (unlikely), that recovered birds recover in any salable way (dubious), that the long-term-sick birds don’t infect humans (improbable), AND that the virus doesn’t mutate (impossible). 🧪
RFK Jr.’s Prescription for Bird Flu on Farms: Let It Spread
The health secretary has suggested allowing the virus to spread, so as to identify birds that may be immune. Such an experiment would be disastrous, scientists say.
