H5N1 Bird Flu is a
About to Go Global.

The D1.1 strain in Nevada, with the PB2 D701N mutation, is spreading faster in dairy herds than the B3.13 strain.

Migrating birds will carry it worldwide, raising the risk of mammalian outbreaks.

This is no longer just a U.S. issue it’s a global threat.

Karen Bass has picked real estate developer & former LAPD commish Steve Soboroff to lead the “fire recovery.” She’s already thanked Wasserman (28 Olympics Chair). Annenberg Foundation will be in charge of dispersing $ raised. Ballmer foundation also involved & have previously funded LAPD. Shady!
THREAD: Tell your friends & family- DON’T GIVE MONEY to this FireAidLA “benefit concert.” The $ raised will be distributed by LAPD funders & Olympics boosters

Buried, amid the more immediate casualties and clearly visible damage of modern wildfire disasters, are the far more numerous victims of the secondary harms and "chronic emergencies" that subsequently unfold for months and years thereafter.

I’m building a list of things to say when people ask why I’m masking. Here are some gems:

- “Do I know you?”
- *Silently offer a stick of gum/a mint*
- “Do you get paid for sick time?”
- *Guttural scream*
- “I can’t hear you, I have a mask on.”
- “Not interested.”

So…Covid, Noro, Whooping Cough, RSV, and Flu cases are booming, and toxic wildfire ash is raining down on LA. Oh & we’re watching H5N1 mutate towards human-to-human transmission.

As a disabled & immunocompromised person, it’s heart wrenching and soul crushing to see people not wearing masks. 💔
