There's also an overlap population who earn more than 100% but less than 138% FPL who live in the non-expansion states, including Texas, Florida, Georgia etc. They're eligible for ACA tax credits, which is why the ACA population is MASSIVE in those states.

Ok should i pay 20 bucks to get this? Or 40 to get it plus the season pass? Those are the costs because already own the original. Base game includes all previous expansion packs and a new one (and a bunch of fixes and updates apparently).

I am fairly certain they will give it an up or down vote in the Senate. Less certain of the outcome. Very doubtful the House will give them a vote.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

i am so confused how people get convinced social security won’t be around for them
i understand many people in my generation and gen z believe this
but like… that was obviously always Republican propaganda, what’s up with that

as much as i am miffed at the Senato Dems for getting very little for their votes, I am pretty sure this scene portrays the dynamics that will most most next November.

Things like vaccines and health insurance risk pools break right-wingers brains. Because it can't just be about individual choice/autonomy. You not getting vaccinated or not to having insurance screws everyone around you. It's the purest distillation of "we live in a society."

I don't think they have 5 votes yet either. 3 definitely. 4...maybe. We could find ourselves eventually there if we don't win and pack the court though.
As I explained when Davis' lawyers filed this petition, there was virtually no chance that the Supreme Court would seriously consider her case. I doubt there are five votes to overturn Obergefell—but if there were, this case does not present a clean vehicle for doing so. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Not the main point here (that’s the craven cowardice in the face of lawless authoritarianism & being totally wrong here), but it is worth mentioning, since everyone is going to rail at “The Democrats,” that Angus King left the Democratic Party…32 years ago & continues not to be a member of it.

In Japan you see this with the number 4 since one of the readings of the character, "shi" is the same as the reading for the character, "death."

I’m mad at the Dems caving as well but I really don’t think they’re going to pay the dude consequences that everyone’s predicting, like this one. You can just be mad without claiming that people will hold them responsible for healthcare getting more expensive.
So when healthcare premiums skyrocket next year it will be blamed on the Dems

Anyway that was a loss. They went to war to prevent catastrophically bad policy. There was real cost to doing so. The GOP held its caucus together longer than the democrats could even as they took the blame. Nothing was gained. It would have been better if they hadn't done it knowing this.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.
We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.
We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.
