I went back and rewatched the Star Citizen base building presentation at Citizencon. There seems to be some notable changes that have been made since the land claims were originally sold in 2017. Some thoughts below:

The raids look really fun, but I don't like the parkour gameplay. That's a big reason why I avoid cave missions.

It seems strange that they didn't talk about ship armor. That has to be in for Squadron 42 doesn't it?

The ship UI upgrades look really great but still no word on one of the most important customization options: the ability to adjust the brightness or turn off the UI w/o turning off the ship.

ok ok another cynical take: the AI traits are cool but we've seen impressive AI behavior for years. Until they servers can actually run this behavior consistently it's meaningless.

The new UI for looting enemies looks great, but I'd like to see improvements for looting armor as well as weapons and consumables.

I'm not gonna knock CIG for it but I'm not sure I agree that animations for reaching out and pressing buttons meaningfully contributes to the game experience. Especially in online play when those animations are prone to bugs.

Idk how I feel about destructible buildings in Star Citizen. It opens up a whole new can of worms. What if a pioneer outpost gets destroyed but there are quests attached to that location? What about buildings that players put down?
