Where will the market be for this new proposed LNG project on Pearse Island BC. 22 billion dollars between the plant and the pipeline is the estimate. There is a good reason to believe LNG use will stagnate or decline in the future. The only ones projecting increases are companies such as Shell.

The new novel "What Friends Are For" sheds light on the history of abortion in Canada. Harriet Zaidman's book is a “nuanced, important, and unfortunately timely novel set in 1983 at the height of Canada’s abortion debate, following a young girl grappling with an unplanned pregnancy.”

1/2 Just watching a video that shows how financial groups such as equity funds are making massive amounts of money from the available water in Texas. Meanwhile farmers and local people are seeing their ground water disappearing. Why would we allow AI data centers to drain away our water in Canada?

That's what I mean. The guy is a complete wet blanket, no matter what. Not a positive ever expressed, but steadily critical. He'd drive you out of your mind while he destroyed your self-worth. A punch in the eye would be easier to deal with than his constant crap.

Just saw an ad from the conservatives calling on Carney to stop taxing food. What a load of BS, the foods that are taxed are unhealthy, high fat and/or sugar processed foods and pop. Basic groceries are 0 taxes. Taxes on unhealthy foods should go directly to help fund healthcare.

And the subtext to everything that I write, particularly in my first article, is that not only did they fuck us, but ultimately they doomed themselves, that is, if we can get it together FFS.

We don’t have to take care of them. Not until we have a very real conversation about all of this first.

It seems to me that when a government turns over its fundamental functions and responsibilities to private enterprise then you don’t have a government any more. You have hedge fund bros giving away taxpayer dollars to their corporate buddies. So we vote these guys in to represent us?? REALLY??
