"Government" isn't shutdown. The Trump administration continues to destroy the White House, kidnap people, and take bribes.
The only thing "shutdown" is the branch of government that could stop Trump (Congress), which is odd because Republican-controlled Congress is too craven to do that anyway.

Correct. It’s insane that anyone is standing for this. We need people in the streets, campus protests, a general strike. Democrats should be holding rallies and press events constantly. The apathy in the face of all this is astounding.
That was one of the most batshit press conferences of Trump's public life. He brandished a photo of Putin and promised to deploy the US military to occupy Chicago, New York, and San Francisco. A sane country would be moving toward impeachment and removal right now.

IMHO the minimizing of systemic & intentional horrors that were inflicted on a population is as big a sin and abomination as committing those horrors.
That’s true of white supremacists denying the horrors of slavery.
Same with denying the Holocaust of WWII.
Same with denying genocide in GAZA
