We’ve got some exciting news: OpenCSD and CSDisseminate are joining forces and becoming 1 working group! Our mission is still the same: to spread the word about #OpenScience in communication sciences and disorders. But now we’re doing it together.

I’m currently being terrorized by a blank event on my calendar for today at noon. Did I mistakenly create this event? Is this an important event that I forgot to add a title/details to?

Only time will tell.🙃

My preferred method of procrastinating on grading finals involves reading extensively about the #ungrading movement. 😅

Writing is so much easier when you have a writing coach assisting you.

10/10 would recommend to all.

I had a wonderful time at the Houston Area Parkinson’s Society (HAPS) caregiver conference today.

It was so insightful to talk directly with caregivers and hear their perspectives on communication challenges with loved ones. I’m grateful for the chance to connect and learn from their experiences.

I have a joke about infant research but it’s not fully developed yet
I have a joke about experimental social psychology, but it doesn’t work if you repeat it.

This is a huge labor of love from our lab: grad students mentor the undergrads to write about language science topics & we release it as an accessible sci comm product. @hannahmech.bsky.social has put crazy amounts of thought into how to do this well. It is SLICK if I do say so. Share widely!
I am so proud to release the 2024 issue of The Spoken Word! Our magazine features articles written by undergraduate research students that tackle big issues in #aphasia, #languagescience, #representation, and more! Read the full issue here: myerslab.media.uconn.edu/wp-content/u...
