It’s surreal how fast the United States has fallen into a dictatorial regime.

Checks and balances are gone, the president disappears innocent people into foreign prison camps, words get banned, and the Overton window shifts at light speed.

I honestly wonder these days when they will come for me.

I'm not saying journalists should never interview admitted propagandists. There are journalistic reasons to do so. But if we do, we must be prepared to -- in fact it is our duty to -- challenge vociferously all unsubstantiated claims. Otherwise, we ourselves become propagandists.

what booker is doing right now is an example of what i mean when i say things like “we need more ambition right now.” there is room in american politics right now for people with ambition to take big stands and reap the rewards. he’s doing it!

i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country

I was able to find these in my school’s library today. I've been wanting to read them for a while now, and I'm beyond elated. College libraries are a treasure trove for book lovers. I'm grateful to have found these gems. The journey of learning feels limitless!

I recently reread this book for one of my classes. It unveils the untold stories of a continent’s revolutionary ties. It explores the powerful intersections of politics, culture, and solidarity. A must-read for those interested in tearing down the empire and radical change.

the world they want is one where you're either unemployed or work an almost no wage job, you have almost no political input or self determination and you’re happy about it because you can get a t-shirt off temu for a $1
The plan is to crash the economy to suppress wages.

canceling the commissary — and i would assume, exchange — program is a one way ticket to getting a bonus army situation. for those unaware, the commissaries and exchanges are subsidized grocery and department stores for service members, veterans and their families.

I just finished reading this tonight, and I couldn’t recommend this book enough. Rethinking home, power, and justice—Abolish Rent challenges the foundations of housing inequality and dares us to imagine a world where shelter is a right, not a commodity.

Reading is political.

Reading has always been political.

Your favorite characters wouldn’t just sit by and watch. They’d get up and burn some shit to the ground.
