A Magnolia Warbler in a Winterberry bush. This migrating warbler wasn't interested in the berries, but the leaves caught this bird's attention. This warbler took a quick bath by getting his/her feathers wet from the wet leaves (too quick for me to get any photos but it was fun to watch.)

Yeah, this is the thing I can’t wrap my head around. The richest nation in the most comfortable era in human history and the richest people here are miserable and angry enough to blow the whole thing up instead of trying to fix the real problems we have
We're the most prosperous, resource-rich country in history and we're on the verge of a constitutional crisis that could have very easily been avoided at like 20 different points.

Later Sonny Rollins studio recordings don't get much critical love, but believe me folks: The 4 records from 1989-95--Falling in Love with Jazz/Here's to the People/Old Flames/Plus 3--are cohesive statements that include damn fine improvising from Sonny and good band playing. Don't sleep on them.

A raccoon warily watching a turkey. Whenever this raccoon would move away from a tree, two Wild Turkeys would chase after him/her. The turkeys seemed none to pleased to have the raccoon around. Eventually the raccoon escaped deeper into the woods, and turkeys headed off on their own way.

My concern about the risks of AI is dwarfed by my concern about how much power in our world is wielded by humans with the emotional intelligence of twelve-year-olds.
