It happens continuously. With almost every pairing and relationship you can imagine. This is because horror speaks to fear and relationships are scary. Do you see it as much in mainstream? Probably not, because "why would I want to watch something that makes me feel bad?" is the norm take on horror

maybe it's the anhedonia talking but does it seem to anyone else that games peaked sometime over the last decade? i can't remember the last time i was excited about something mainstream.
