Since it costs money to get a new passport or copy of your birth certificate, the SAVE Act is effectively a poll tax.

The SAVE Act is a way for the House Republicans to put up a financial barrier between the 69 million women who would have to get new IDS and the ballot box. #HandsOffHerVote

What’s happening right now is: a thief in your house ransacking it.
You call the cops. They arrest the guy. But your house never feels safe again. All your stuff is broken & scattered. How did this happen?
Now you’re supposed to put it all back together & live like everything is normal? This is us.

15 years ago, the Supreme Court put a for sale sign on our democracy. Now, we’re facing an era of unprecedented corruption.

I spoke with @thebulwark.bsky.social on how Citizens United got us here and what we can do to fight back:
The Road from ‘Citizens United’ to Trump, Musk, and Corruption
A ‘naïve’ Supreme Court delivered lawless greed and cruelty. We’ll have to save ourselves, if we can.

I have moved many times. Counted the homes I've lived in at age 60 recently and it was approximately 35. I don't recommend it for anyone else. That said, this is very interesting

The reason we organize in unions before something bad happens is the same reason we do fire drills before a real fire happens.

If there is a redundancy in the company you work at, it's nearly impossible to coordinate an effective response with each other without a lot of prior preparation.
