It cannot be made clearer.

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

Canada Post “lost” 1 billion dollars last year?

How about, “it cost Canadians 1 billion dollars to have a national postal service” which works out to costing about $25 a year per person (population of Canada in 2024 = 40 million). Seems like a pretty reasonable cost to me.
"Canada Post is on track to lose money" Hum. Duh. It cost less than a toonie to send a letter across Canada.

"Canada Post is a service and not a business" was common knowledge until late stage capitalism brain rotted most people into think if it ain't making money for shareholders, it's failing.

The second richest man on earth is about to be a major owner of TikTok.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

Pet parrots which typically live alone (whilst those in the wild live in large flocks) were given the technology to call each other. They would use it for up to three hours a day, and developed favourite friends 💔

i think some decent people hold the idea that fascists need excuses to do evil, because it’s hard to wrap their heads around the cruelty otherwise.

the truth is, fascists have never needed excuses. they’ll opportunistically *take* an excuse if it appears, but they’ll just fabricate one otherwise.

I had my audio rights reverted for Dweller and as part of the agreement was given the high-quality, human-narrated audiobook to distribute myself--it just went live this week!

Nothing bad happens to the cats! (as authentic as the narrator's concern for them is)
Finally, all audio links are live--you can buy Dweller at a bunch of places! books2read.com/dwelleronthe...

(Or direct from me, I even have it bundled with the eBook: payhip.com/b/qhmZN)

Examples of political violence in American history:

* slavery
* the Trail of Tears
* Japanese internment camps
* forced sterilization programs
* lynching
* Jim Crow

I'm sure we could keep going. A better question is "When has political violence not been who we are?"
