Totally insane that Trump wasn't jailed pre-trial. Further the hugely preferential treatment he got was a total violation of equal treatment under the law. Garland should have been fired/impeached for treating Trump FAR better than any similar defendant.

No, the silliest / dumbest thing was Ds mocking Elon instead of blocking the deal, especially when Elon wanted out. Biden totally failed in that instead of dismantling right-wing media after J6, he let a nazi MAGAt take over Twitter.

1. Purge govt of non loyalists
2. Weaponize law against opponents
3. Use military to police opposition strongholds
4. Threaten media, schools, businesses w penalties to get them to heel
5. Change election rules in his favor.

I think it's really dangerous to frame the problem as "Ds can't win important elections" because that suggests that the thing to do is focus always on the next election. that was biden's strategy; it's why he didn't prosecute trump vigorously.

Whether seriously bad at danger assessment or incredible arrogance, it was arguably an inordinate amount of dereliction of duty — somewhere between complicity and aiding & abetting. I can’t forgive that.
