I'm not far from here, and there is precisely one way to safely take pictures of polar bears: by drone.

*Everyone* who works in the Arctic knows this. People up here don't open carry 50 cal rifles in the winter for shits and giggles–humans are very much on the menu for polar bears.

He was the first Inuk to sit in the NWT Legislature.
He had a major role in the Berger Commission that was instrumental in Arctic land claims.
He led Project Surname to help the Inuit obtain surnames rather than government disc numbers.
