I think Americans fawning over party-state systems because they see a couple of rich people being arrested without understanding any of the context need to calm down a bit, because a party-state is exactly what the Republicans are going to give you if you're not careful

Bracing analysis of the rise of the far-right in Germany: "there are widespread right-wing extremist networks within the security services, the police, and the armed forces. Europe-wide networks of fascists are operating unhindered. Something is brewing. If we don't react now, it will be too late."

All forms of hierarchy and authority needs be destroyed.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

For anyone who is like “the creature is also named Frankenstein”; Mary Shelley went to see a play version of Frankenstein and was tickled that they listed the creature as “———“ in the dramatis personae:

“this nameless mode of naming the unnameable is rather good”

I feel like that there is a double standards in fantasy where you can have many slightly different variants of elves or dwarfs, but soon as you do it for furries then it suddenly becomes a problem. Feels like blatant hypocrisy to me

Buying and scanning the books you own is now "outright theft."

Love seeing people uncritically take up RIAA/MPAA talking points from 2001.
you can convincingly portray this whole financialized AI edifice as a mortgage crisis-style house of cards without even mentioning that the fundamental product is unreliable, based on outright theft, and people don’t like it.

Anarchy anywhere is a threat to tyranny everywhere.

Authoritarians know this.

It is why they are so desperate to crush it, because once again Anarchists are growing, Anarchism flourishes in the corpse of empires.

Do not let yourself forget this.

Hot take: I don't think you can be all that serious about art if you see something, enjoy it, learn that it is made with AI and then retroactively change your opinion.

If you refuse to see the intentionality and care put into (some) AI art, you're being contrarian to the point of ridiculousness.
