The worst person on earth, but in a fun way! Burdened with glorious purpose. Invented the moon. Weaponizes emails. A really high-minded motherfucker. She/her.
It is deeply fucking weird to need to watch television while you’re using a public restroom.

Billionaires leave less than any other population when conditions become “financially adverse”. But it’s a great scare tactic! “Let’s concentrate wealth in the hands of the few, then worry they’ll support the people who actually create that wealth less than the none they already do if we tax it.”
Billionaires are considering cutting or reducing their ties to California by the end of the year because of a proposed ballot measure that could tax the state’s wealthiest residents.
A Wealth Tax Floated in California Has Billionaires Thinking of Leaving
It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.

Please raise your hand if you are shocked that he doesn’t understand queer history. As a very related note, I’ll quit going on about my identity the minute I’m legally equal to a straight white cis Christian man.
Speaking at a Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg criticized the Democratic Party for failing to reach everyday Americans, arguing that it “got sucked in” to a conversation about identity. #TribFest25
Pete Buttigieg critiques Democrats for focus on identity
The former U.S. transportation secretary said the Democratic Party should focus more on issues gripping the country, such as health care and housing affordability.

I drove 40 hours of the last 59 to watch Gerard Way eat a hot dog badly and another person eat one weirdly, I did not make up any part of that sentence, and I am very happy.

Getting ready to drive to California for MCR this weekend. 36 hours of driving in 60 hours, it’s fine. I have floor tickets for this one!

You know, the thing they said they weren't gonna do after all. Is happening. And is pretty much a HIPAA nightmare and a Nazi first step.

NEW: The music distribution platform SoundCloud updated its terms of service to allow it to use artists' uploaded music to train AI.

The change quietly went into effect last year. It looks like a lot of SoundCloud users were caught off guard.

Something fascinating about someone so stupid they wrote in a dead 6 year old Palestinian for president, doubled down by getting attention for her actions at a town hall & STILL being so dumb she doesn’t even lie and claim she voted meaningfully.

How’s that protest vote working out for your virtue?

Cool, that’s great. Definitely good that we have a bigoted, sadistic fascist running HHS.

This is not a shocking development if you were already on the “the only piece of tech in my house is a printer and I keep a gun next to it in case it makes a noise I don’t understand” side of the tech-adoption line. Helps if you know that techbros are all, without exception, sociopaths, too.
This story explains a LOT of things: ChatGPT appears to be rooting on sociopathic mental illness by validating every delusion of grandeur.

It also explains, in part, the hype cycle around AI: rich people, addicted to praise, invented a Compliment Machine.

I mean, I read that as saying she picked people who are also transphobic and will infuse the show with their own vile thoughts on the topic. Never heard of them, could be wrong … but you know what they say about lying fine with dogs.
oh okay so she’s very very involved in the show including selecting creative leadership who will drive the entire production but she somehow managed to do it without using her own opinions or thoughts

Correct. The tech oligarchs absolutely believe immortality is possible. It’s why they are pushing AI so relentlessly. Because they think it will help bring about the Singularity (machine/human merging). It’s why Musk is doing Neuralink. I wish I was kidding but they are deadly serious.
"Obessed with longevity," are they searching for a way to achieve immortality? If so, this is nonsense.

University leaders need to understand: they are holding INCREDIBLY good cards.

It is so rare in today's polarized era to have the support of 70+ percent of the public against the Trump admiministration on anything. Universities have that—AND winning legal arguments.

Professors aren't doing it.
Your little darlings are finally meeting a diverse group of people and realising that the stereotypes you've been feeding them are closed-minded garbage.
