Badenoch: There are now 491,000 claims in the employment tribunal backlog. Which shows how dangerous Labour's Employment Rights Bill is.

Er... why are there now 491,000 claims in the employment tribunal backlog? How long did it take to build that lot up?

2013 seems like another world now, that's when I met Udo Kier at some fancy Hollywood thing in Palm Springs, we chatted about Fassbinder & he said he was making a movie in Ireland & would look me up. It didn't happen but it was a privilege to meet him. Rest in peace, Udo, you maniac, you sweet man.

Have I ever tried to take it out on any individual on the basis of where they are from? No!"

He doesn't seem to have an issue taking it out on whole groups though.

There's enough hedging from Farage in this clip to kit out Hampton Court Maze multiple times over.

Labour's anti-asylum policies are already fundamentally inhumane and discriminatory. Applying them retrospectively is pure cruelty though. It serves absolutely no purpose. Meanwhile it will increase the costs and bureaucracy of an already dysfunctional Home Office.

Four years and the only thing which has changed is that anti-asylum policies and rhetoric have got worse.
Four years and genuine solutions to reducing channel crossings, reducing the loss of life, haven't changed, and have continued to be ignored 👇

Four years of hostility.
Today is the 4th anniversary of the worst ever tragedy in the Channel.

At least 27 men, women & children drowned in the freezing water, & 4 more have never been found.

Since then, neither we nor the French have done a thing to offer people in this situation with real solutions.

How is this not the top story on every news bulletin?
This has been happening for years and instead of doing anything to protect children successive governments have made the situation worse. This isn't just on councils. It is part of failings on a State level.

Udo took a chance on my rinky-dink festival in Vancouver back in 2000 - he went on TV interviews with me, carried 35mm film prints up stairs, went to get me coffee and even live-dubbed Giancarlo Giannini's voice when BLACK BELLY OF THE TARANTULA showed up without subs. RIP Udo, you were a star 🌟

We’re crushed to hear the news that the great Udo Kier has passed at the age of 81. As iconic as he was prolific, Kier’s contributions to the genre span nearly 300 screen credits, from BLOOD FOR DRACULA to BACURAU and beyond. Our condolences go out to his friends, family and legions of fans.

If the system worked properly and fairly, this man would have been recognised years ago, been able to bring his family here and be a British citizen. Instead, he now faces being caught up in the Home Secretary's plans to switch refugees into what seems to be a minimum 20 year route to settlement.
