Binged this docuseries on Amazon called Selling Superman. It’s about this guy whose dad hoarded a comic collection they weren’t allowed to see/touch for 40 years. When he died, it turned out to be 300,000 comics, among them Superman #1, Batman #1, + tons more worth $15 mil. Uh, surprise? 😳

The thing about living in Southern California people who are not from here don’t understand is that until there’s been heavy rain and wind clearing the haze, we mostly forget that we’re surrounded by mountains. Because usually, we can barely see them. And then we’re like “oh yeah, mountains!”

People who are mystified by the success of Avatar vs the lack of “cultural footprint” left behind have to remember that a CBS show I’ve never heard of, “Fire County”, is on its fourth season and probably gets higher ratings than “Succession”, people enjoy what they enjoy and don’t intellectualize it

We knew it was coming of course, but it was still so exciting, because we’d been told for years it was never going to happen.
Every time I watch “Unification, part 1,” I try to imagine the thrilling shock of seeing Spock show up on Picard’s monitor. Stewart’s face likely matches the first time viewer’s experience. I don’t think I saw this first-run. If you did, let me know how you reacted.

Seeing rumors now that Sadie Sink is gonna play… Rachel Summers?? I’d have been shocked for the X-Men movies to introduce her, doubly so for a Spider-Man movie. If it’s true, it’s random af. Having said that….it would be good casting 🤷♂️
