White House CEA kicking out amazing research today.

The March 2021 (2 months after Biden became POTUS) American Rescue Plan authorized $24 billion in childcare stabilization grants.

Once $ arrived in counties, mothers of young children gained employment.

Don't overlook this: The big victory in Virginia isn't just about abortion. It also shows that the reactionary "parents rights" nonsense has utterly fizzled.

I talked to Dems on the ground about how the right is alienating voters. Fascinating responses.

This is the same editorial writer who wrote last month about how Jews are making too big a deal about antisemitic incidents and that giving Nazis a platform is "doing the public a favor, actually" because some of them are so clownish. So he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt on this.

Here in central IL, the local paper ran an editorial titled "You can't teach an old Skokie lawyer new conduct standards."

We're not near Skokie. The lawyer being from Skokie was totally irrevelant to the charges he faced. It was just a way of saying "you know what *those* people are like."

How central is the Fifth Circuit to this #SCOTUS Term?

One data point: Among the 44 merits cases granted thus far, *nine* (20.4%) come from the Fifth Circuit alone (with more, like mifepristone, still to come).

The (bigger) Ninth Circuit, in contrast, is responsible for five.

As with abortion when Roe was in effect, many state-level GOP efforts targeting transgender care for adults will take the insidious form of achieving a de facto ban, while being able to argue that they have not technically banned anything.
