But also: this was exactly how some of us warned the Terrorism Act 2000 would be used when it was passed, by the government in which Peter Hain was a minister. He and all the others either ignored or dismissed our warnings. It's very frustrating.

Half of the reason I do what I do is that trying to get in the woods is impossible for huge swathes of the country, and even then usually only for car owners who pump out emissions and flatten wildlife to walk their dog.

We need more woodlands. We need improved access in our existing woodlands.
Just a quarter of woodland area in England is publicly accessible with only 14 per cent of households having the use of two hectares or more within 500 m of their home.
