Many, many, MANY studies show that the cumulative costs of harassing homeless people—cops, prison, jail, etc—are much more expensive than just housing them and providing income, and that doing those things helps people get to the point where they’re not in crisis any longer.

We choose cruelty.

I hate it here. 😭😭😭

This is going to create more people I serve on the streets. I'm still recovering from surgery but will pick up ASAP.
Republicans pulled an all-nighter to:

-strip healthcare away from 17 million Americans
-take food assistance away from 3 million Americans
-eliminate school meal access for 18+ million kids
-send energy costs soaring
-add $3.3 trillion to national debt
-raise health care premiums for seniors

This book is riveting and so, so infuriating. It follows 5 families in Atlanta who are struggling to remain housed and paints deeply compassionate portraits of each unit. It reads almost like a novel but is outstanding journalism

You have three days, starting today, to leave a public comment with the FDA about, say, why COVID-19 boosters should remain available to everyone and also free. "Individual consumer" is the category you most likely want (unless you are one of the other categories; if so, choose that).

BREAKING: Newark Airport is a full-blown disaster—800+ flights canceled, 5-hour delays, and the FAA bleeding staff like a severed artery.

This isn’t just Newark—it’s a nationwide meltdown in real time caused by a rotting, underfunded system.

And guess what? It’s about to get worse.

I see a new Tarantino movie “Kill Pill” where the main character uses “one pill exploding five heart” technique.
By this Pam calculation, one pill has to kill more than five people. Math is hard.

Unique to America, our health care system is designed not to make people well, but to make CEOs & wealthy stockholders incredibly rich. The result: We have the highest infant mortality rate of any wealthy country on earth. How cruel, how immoral is that? We need Medicare for All.
