“Democrats should center the people too evil and/or stupid to have helped defeat Nazis” is one hell of a statement.

people are treating her like she deserves a purple heart when the whole situation is INSANE.
The entire Lindsay Vonn situation is out of control. That woman could lose her leg bcz she couldn’t deal with ‘no’ and people are congratulating her for trying even tho it was a catastrophically bad idea? That is everything that is bad and wrong w the US.

It’s actually easier to get to the threads of media distrust through the dismal rates of literacy and reading comprehension

There are three legs of media distrust

1) News outlets are owned by plutocrats

2) plutocracy has no interest in a well informed electorate

3) a media class more interested in affluence and access than journalistic integrity

ICE using the same ruse that Ted Bundy used to kidnap people should tell you something.
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

I have no doubt this is true to some degree but I think it’s a mistake to believe that most people are against hostility and intolerance in the abstract. I think a lot of respectable white people saw themselves in Good and Pretti and didn’t like anti-Black racism coming for them.

this is a really important point. the district courts are trying to contain this administration. the circuits, by and large, are still working, with the occasional exception of the 5th, 8th, and DC circuits.

the Supreme Court is on an island. lawless and completely rogue.
Our court system is largely working, with the exception of the most important court
Courts have ruled 4,400 times that ICE jailed people illegally. It hasn’t stopped.
