Feels like a number of people have a hard time calling direct aid, direct aid. I don't know why. Not all direct aid is part of mutual aid but many mutual aid efforts INCLUDE direct aid. The key here is INCLUDE which suggests that there is more happening than direct aid in mutual aid efforts.

Feels like a number of people have a hard time calling direct aid, direct aid. I don't know why. Not all direct aid is part of mutual aid but many mutual aid efforts INCLUDE direct aid. The key here is INCLUDE which suggests that there is more happening than direct aid in mutual aid efforts.

I have no direct evidence for this, but I have a hunch that the reason they NAMED the company Amazon is to make search engines favor them INSTEAD of the rainforest. (See also: Banana Republic.)
