Into the Woods at the Bridge Theatre is utterly sublime. I have an old fashioned disdain for (now ubiquitous) standing ovations, but I defy you not to be on your feet at the end of this. Every single thing about it is magnifcent. Sell your loved ones for tickets.

Sorry I keep posting about Liz Truss. But really, someone needs to stage an intervention.
To misquote Groucho Marx, "I wouldn't want to be part of any club that had Liz Truss as a member."
Wow. Everything, from font to seal to layout, is an attempt to brand her as a former President. 56th Prime Minister? We don't do that.

I took a look at Liz Truss's website for The Leconfield, her new Mayfair club asking for £500,000 from members to build it, and ran the images through the AI detection software Detesia, here's the results.

I feel compelled to write a review thread 🧵 for The Liz Truss Show because in the madness of the content, other aspects - vital aspects - are being missed.

1. The Aesthetics

Unless they were aiming for "Harley Street urologist waiting room circa 1992" this interview area is just unacceptable. 1/

Of all the lies that governments constantly spout and which they have amplified by the media, this is arguably the most egregious.
Politicians constantly claim that the government must “live within its means”, just like any family.

In this video, I explain why the household analogy is not only wrong — it is the foundation of austerity.

My carefully considered, nuanced and balanced policy view is that we should tax gambling profits, including sports betting, at like 98% and one executive's kidney per quarter.

I'm not sure having every UK mainstreet be three quarters Ladbrokes is good, actually.
