Big fan of GMacht's hiatus beard, the sister wives and the dude with the middle name Johannes, FWIW. Used to count shits.

When I'm not being an insufferable fangirl, I'm...an insufferable person with BIG opinions and analysis. Basically just insufferable.

Either shortening my elastic and resewing it on one side will help with my slippy heel problem, or I'm going to break something in pointe class. I figure there's no alternative at this point, given nobody takes "I have serious retina issues" seriously and cares to help.

I was told they were both exactly the same, when they never even were in the amount of "but old," much less anything else.

Furious. For. Fucking. Ever.
The guy on the left had a cold one night, and millions decided that they wanted the guy one the right back, the one who looks like an embalmed corpse. I will never forgive the people who did this.

Sometimes I imagine what it would have been like had we adapted to Covid instead of giving up.

If we had clean air in public spaces.
Respirators in healthcare.
Free masks for those who need them.
Better tests & treatment.
Paid time off.

We would all be healthier.

Yep. And there is, by design, no clear successor.

Vance was chosen precisely because the base would never accept him as the next MAGA savior, and the base is already fracturing too quickly for any one faction leader to find a path to uniting the movement.

When he goes: chaos.
JP Morgan’s CEO going “we’re not funding the ballroom, the next DOJ will hit us with the book over it” is a pretty big sign that the winds are shifting as far as Trump having a glorious 1000 year reich. I doubt he’ll even make the full four years, and his entourage have their future to pay for it

One of the things about trust is that it is efficient. It saves you having to invest a lot of time and effort in verification, and if placed in the right places, saves you a lot of pain.

"The diseases will do the education" is what we get when we don't trust.

My bff the abuser still gives me shit over a role!!! So cute!!!

Honestly, him being so close to that man should've been a red flag before he went on his ratfucking mission.

many people saw what was coming when the Christian right started redefining discrimination as “religious freedom” and now here it is deployed (at best) to defend a failure to do the assignment and (at worst?) as workplace discipline, for existing in a manner unacceptable to Christian nationalists

President Hernandez was responsible for smuggling 500 TONS of cocaine into the United States! He was the top dog; the Pablo Escobar figure! He wasn’t just “selling drugs in that country.”
Reporter: You have made so clear how you want to keep drugs out of the US—

Trump: Right

Reporter: Can you explain why you would pardon a notorious drug trafficker?

Trump: If somebody sells drugs in that country, that doesn’t mean you arrest the president

Sadly, many an administration is proving itself to be against learning—even at super liberal schools—just not in this particularly vile way.

If you look at some of the program cuts and the way they're justified, some even prior to the current political nightmare, this was just the next step.
The thing I keep coming back to about this is it’s the OU administration coming out against… learning

Racism is baked in the fabric of this country from the beginning.

You can deride Critical Race Theory as “woke” all you want, but you can’t fight reality.
If White America wanted to end racism, they would.

Great thread. Half of these people fo not know what poor is. Like having no bathroom, heat, air healthcare, no food etc. I'm not proud of it but that was my life and still gp through things.
When yall say things like everyone is poor it makes me realize that you have not actually looked poverty in the face.

It is absolutely disingenuous for anyone to liken him/herself to people who cannot pay bills, who are unhoused, who truly have empty cupboards, who do not have warm sheets.

A college level teacher is put on leave for, politely and eloquently, explaining to a student that some academia requires empirical information over your personal reckons.

And this is how some universities make their qualifications less than worthless.

"They were perfect like my phone call where I got impeached."

So, they were completely damning, actually.
Reporter: Governor Walz called for the release of your MRI results

Trump: They were perfect like my phone call where I got impeached.

Reporter: Can you tell us what they were looking at?

Trump: I have no idea. It was just an MRI. It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and aced it.

This is all true but

1) under no definition are we currently at war with Venezuela under domestic US law

2) since we aren’t, the initial strike was just as much a murder as the follow up

The failure to understand this by a huge range of actors is really driving me up the wall.
If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.
