Peter Costello is to blame for our health crisis. He promised the states his GST was a growth tax that would provide sustainable funding for states but its failing

But we don’t have to increase the GST its time to tax gas and give the $s to the states

Last night @davidpocock.bsky.social and I read onto the Hansard an interview by the President of Nauru that the Albanese Government has been desperately trying to keep secret.

It shows Nauru plans to send refugees to places they fled. No wonder the secrecy.

The State Library needs voices of support.
#Victorians! Our State Library is being trashed by a series of executives with no experience or understanding of public collections. Many hired as 'temps' without full process, who then caused scandals & exodus of specialist & librarian staff: a full wreck looms. www.theage.com.au/national/vic...

In this case, cronyism may not have even included people with such qualifications or experience, let alone more relevant ones. HOW & WHY were people hired at exec level and/or board appointed over last few years & what damage ensued? An inquiry would tell us. #StateLibrary
If there is 1 constant with decades of so many graduates of the Harvard MBA - a business degree whose raison d'être was to ignore the experience, wisdom, & understanding of the successes & failures of the Shop floor - it is this:

"Contempt for staff knowledge."

Rule by graduate aristocracy.
Scandal after scandal at the #StateLibrary of Victoria. Exhibitions interfered with & cancelled by people who've never worked at a library, museum, or institution with public requirements, hired without scrutiny. Contempt for staff knowledge. Researchers discouraged from expert staff consultation.
