American Eagle was dragged into an online outrage cycle after conservative media figures claimed that liberals were offended by the clothing company's ads featuring Sydney Sweeney and a denim-themed pun about her "great jeans."

We checked the data. That wasn't true.

At least they’re being honest about the fact that you have to train yourself to hate people? 🤷🏼‍♂️
Christian nationalist Stephen Wolfe says Christians must "habituate ourselves into disgust" for left-wing causes, particularly when it comes to LGBTQ issues: "You need to get into the habit of looking upon left-wing degeneracy and feeling disgust." www.peoplefor.org/rightwingwat...

I suspect they’re doing this to fix a previous fuckup - they killed soybean exports to China, and to cover the gap China has turned to other countries, including Argentina. So they’re basically doing this to keep them close to the US. But - characteristically - by doing a new fuckup. Amateur hour.
The US is going to bailout Argentina with your tariff money.

Let that sink in

Spent the last decade reading conservative blogs use the word "Orwellian" more than they used the word "the" and now they're literally just saying "War is Peace" out loud in front of everybody.
Hegseth: "As history teaches us, the only people who actually deserve peace and those who are willing to wage war to defend it. That's why pacifism is so naive and dangerous."

A pattern is developing where everyone who fights back against a Trump attack inevitably wins with their reputation much better than before, and everyone who caves to him looks like shit and has Trump coming back for more a month later.

I think they’re using trans people as their lead Other — the focus of hate and fear, which is very politically powerful, as the Nazis knew.
I believe this to my core. They're using trans people as a test case to dismantle individual rights in the US.
Trans rights are not the rights of a tiny minority, trans rights are everyone’s rights to self-determination, control of our bodies, and a society where opportunity and aesthetics are not restricted by sex assigned at birth

You should support and defend trans people because trans people are people

The entire point of the First Amendment is that you be able to call the President a fucking asshole. Especially when he *is* a fucking asshole, but even if he weren't a fucking asshole, you should still be able to call him a fucking asshole.
Reporter: What do you make of Bondi saying she is going to go after hate speech, a lot of your allies say hate speech is free speech.

Trump: Probably go after people like you, you treat me unfairly, you have hate in your heart. ABC paid me $16 million for a form of hate speech,

Posting a criticism of Charlie Kirk - much less noting something outrageous he himself said - is not “celebrating” his murder. Nor is it condoning his murder. It is simply saying that his political career and legacy are not something to be celebrated. And that is not the same thing at all.

Trump seems to get very excited when he successfully orders the military to carry out war crimes in international waters. He clearly loves the idea of having a murder machine at his disposal.

That’s not a good sign.

/6 To me this is a little like the virtue of bravery. Bravery seems morally neutral in itself; its virtue depends on its ends. Very few people say "look, I don't agree with the 9/11 hijackers, but they were really brave and that's admirable."

Bullshit. Trump and Trumpists and a disturbingly large slice of the modern Right are absolutely fine dehumanizing in far worse rhetoric an alarmingly long list of groups and individuals ideals. It’s their favorite thing to do. It gets them off.

When a right-wing man murdered Democratic lawmakers in Minnesota, progressives asked MAGA to tone down the rhetoric to prevent more violence. Within hours of Kirk’s murder, motive still unknown, the right is demanding that the government wage a campaign of violence against their enemies.
