I don’t like to talk about neurodivergent sense experience in terms of hyper and hypo sensitivity. Because there is no “correct” or just-right Goldilocks standpoint from which to judge. Neurodivergent people are not “incorrectly” experiencing the world. To say “more so” or “less so” misses this.

Another old animation: effect of fossil preservation probability on our perception of extinction patterns (the Signor-Lipps effect). 2/3 of species disappear in an instantaneous mass extinction at the pink horizon, but as preservation probability declines the event *appears* more & more protracted.
