Why does the left keep losing to the right.
The right is simply better at hate, confrontation, and conflict driven politics. It feeds them. It energises them. It unites them. 1/5

I needed to hear this...
You weren’t “difficult to love.”
You were never loved according to your needs.

You weren’t “too intense.”
You were unfiltered without guidance.

You weren’t “hard work.”
You were human.

They didn’t know your language.
So they called you the problem.

Fuck that.

it's really rude when you have chronic disabilities AND really bad depression, so you never can tell if you need to fight yourself to get something done or if you need to lower your expectations of what you should even try to accomplish.

Reminder!!

Bluesky has a pronoun labeler you should really use!

Only those who subscribe to this will see it so you should do that. Don't worry, that's all it does.
Instructions are in the bio/first post.

I live in the Dallas metroplex, in an area that has a lot of people, and as such, a lot of light pollution.
so imagine my surprise when my mom texted me about the Northern Lights last night, and I took a peek outside and saw purpleish and reddish hues in the sky at 11pm.

We're socialized to constantly apologize for being too outwardly excited about things, but this world is so full of terror and misery that I'd rather see those bursts of light and passion shine through the cracks wherever you can find them.

for anyone wondering how to find out if yours is recalled, call your pharmacy. they fill your 30-day or 90-day prescription *from* the 100-count bottles. your pharmacy can pull the manufacturer and lot number associated with your medication bc it's all tracked in their computer!

Reposting because, and I say this with love, some of you are going to see this and go “oh shit, I need to check my bottle” and then immediately forget about it so if this could affect you, go check right now before you even scroll to the next post, I mean it.

we don't normally get a true fall in October, but it's not been above 80F in a while and it'll be below 60F all day Wednesday.

I think we're actually getting fall before November for once.

I cut a friend out of my life yesterday, for betraying my trust & hurting me, on purpose, probably to spare his ego.
I grieved for a day, then felt a weight lifted off my shoulders today. I realize now just how much I had been tiptoeing around him, just how much anxiety I had in his presence.

Windows 10 - I didn't know this was a thing!
You can extend updates for it!
Check if you have an Enroll button in your Win Update. I haven’t gotten mine yet but there’s a manual fix I’ll try over the weekend.
I think their issue with me is that my Admin isn’t an online account and vice versa, so maybe I’ll have to make another one.

When you're autistic or neurodivergent,
friendships can feel like walking on eggshells.
But true friends don’t flinch at your honesty,
your silence, or your struggles. Those who
mind don’t matter. Those who matter don’t
mind. Keep the ones who let you be you.

I got my vaccine today. this is exactly how it went for me.
for context, I'm in Texas.
To people in red states who are wondering if there is any "trouble" getting the vaccine... I just had to click a checkbox on the online appointment form stating I had a condition that allowed me to get the vaccine since I'm under 65. At the appointment, I was given the shots without question.

Okay, games researchers: looking for something that happened in 1991-92ish. the sound team at Sierra On-Line was interviewed, including Chris Braymen; talked in the interview about using character and leitmotif, key changes, and transition pieces. Trying to find the magazine, if anyone has clues.

You may have heard my arguments against the Electoral College before. Here’s a new one the Founders never anticipated:

If the President is elected by popular vote, he probably wouldn’t selectively punish entire states for voting against him.
