I moved from Texas to Maine two years ago. Last month I went back for four days. I won't go again.

I grew up in Texas and left for the PNW the second I turned 18 and could leave. I relate so hard to everything here. That place sucks and I dread every time I have to go back to visit family. So glad my parents also realized how much it sucks and are moving up here so I never have to go back.

I reallyyyyyy need TriMet to cover the emergency door release on the trains like they do on the buses. Those things are pulled way too often.

good news folks I think trimet is cooking with the swag this year

Y’know if TriMet ran the green and red lines as a single through-running east side line you could actually free up capacity on the system for 7 1/2 minute headways everywhere.

Kinda mad that Dallas gets a new rail line after I move away yet here in Portland (supposedly a “good transit city”) nothing for over a decade now.

I am begging people to stop crossing the chains on Interstate. Every day someone almost gets themselves killed doing it and I’m so tired of having close calls like that.

frankly i don't give a fuck what the owner of two car washes thinks would be best for the future of 82nd avenue. it's not his avenue and he can pound sand

Huge news: City of Portland wins federal funding to study tearing out the Kirby Avenue off-ramp dividing the Boise/Eliot neighborhoods in North Portland

NMF’s friends at the Eliot Neighborhood Association deserve a ton of credit for pushing for this for years

Colorado's Bustang system is perhaps the best model for a western state bus system. Oregon and Washington should look at it as a model. The system has been incredibly successful because service drives ridership!

If Oregon funded POINT at the same per-capita rate it'd cost us ~$48million a year.

PBOT really couldn’t even give us parking protected bike lanes?
Ooooh lookey PBOT just shared latest concept drawings for what they plan to do on NE Broadway from 7th to 24th.

Let's go!

Will have a story on this ASAP, but here's background from July bikeportland.org/2024/07/19/p...
